Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve tried to cover lots of common questions in this list. If you don’t see an answer to your question in this list, please contact us at conference@forensicnurses.org

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE CONFERENCE APP?
Go to Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Search eventScribe
Install and open the app, select IAFN2023
Click download
Log in to the app using the same credentials you used to register for the conference
Note: If you downloaded the app last year, delete the app and reinstall it to avoid login issues this year.
Slides and/or handouts supplied by presenters will be available for download on the website and the mobile app within each session’s detail page. If no slides or handouts are available for a session, the presenter did not provide them.
Any live sessions scheduled during the virtual conference are scheduled in Eastern Time Zone for the United States.
HOW DO I EARN CE?
To earn CE, you must listen to the complete audio for each presentation and then complete the session evaluation.
Total CE available from all sessions and posters = 75+. You can earn as many CEs as the number of sessions or posters you watch and evaluate.
Evaluations will be available upon completion of viewing/attending each session.
Deadline to complete session evaluations and overall evaluation required to claim your CE Certificate is November 13 at 5:00 pm ET.
IMPORTANT: CE for the virtual conference will be awarded only upon completion of evaluations for the on-demand sessions you watch AND upon completion of the overall conference evaluation by 5:00 pm ET, November 13, 2023.
CAN I CLAIM THIS YEAR'S VIRTUAL CONFERENCE OFFERINGS ON MY NEXT CERTIFICATION RENEWAL?
It depends. If you have already received notice of having achieved a passing score on the exam this year or have already renewed your SANE certification, congratulations! By doing so, you have ensured that you may claim on your next certification renewal any appropriate CE you earn at this year's conference. ("Appropriate" means that the session's content is listed on the Test Content Outline of the certification you are renewing.) If not, it will depend on your CE Accrual Start Date.
Need your CE Accrual Start Date? Check:
1) your last IAFN congratulations letter (for exam or renewal),
2) your certificate, and
3) the IAFN-Certified Nurses Registry (just search for your name).
For renewal purposes, you may submit any appropriate CE you accrue between your CE Accrual Start Date and Nov 1 of your recertification year.
