Dr. Hobbs practices clinical emergency medicine and serves as the Medical Director of Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, a level one trauma and tertiary care center. She holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine—Greenville and works as clinical faculty with the Greenville Emergency Medicine Residency Program, which she helped establish as founding faculty in 2017.
Dr. Hobbs joined Prisma Health in 2015 and has served as the Medical Director of the Prisma Health Upstate Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Program for the last five years. She became involved in forensic medicine when she identified a gap in patient care and helped create a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner program that was granted over $1 million in funds to create a multi-disciplinary forensic medicine program for comprehensive patient care. She also has the privilege of serving as Alternate Councilor for the Forensic Medicine Section of ACEP. Dr. Hobbs's interests include responding to endless minor pediatric medical emergencies (aka parenting a toddler), healthcare policy, forensic emergency medicine and healthcare systems development.
