Anna has been a practicing registered nurse for 30 years. Her interest in forensic nursing started earlier on in her career as an Emergency Department Nurse while taking care of sexual assault victims. After successfully completing her requirements, she became an Adult Adolescent SANE in Illinois on 2018 and on that year, she assumed the role of the SANE Program Coordinator at Rush University Medical Center. Starting the program from ground up, she supported several RUMC ED nurses in their careers as SANE in Illinois paving way to a 24/7 SANE/SANE-Trained coverage in their ED starting July 2019. She is currently sits on the IAFN Illinois Chapter Board of Directors as the Immediate Past President, knowing that this is an opportunity to support other Illinois SANE.
