Shaun Johnson, RN, SAFE-A, SANE-A

Shaun Johnson is a registered nurse with over five years’ experience in emergency nursing. He started his journey in forensic nursing in late 2018 and became a Maine credentialed Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner for adults and adolescents (SAFE-A) in early 2019, becoming the second male in Maine to achieve this credentialing. In 2021, Shaun became nationally certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for adults and adolescents (SANE-A) through the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN). In 2021 Shaun accepted the position of Southern Regional Coordinator with the University of New England Advanced Nursing Education Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program with the School of Nursing and Population Health.
