Erin Tendick is a SANE Coordinator with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. In 2016 she started practicing as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. She became a SANE in 2019 and a Nationally Certified SANE-A in 2021. She currently practices as an on-call SANE-A in emergency rooms throughout southern Illinois and is completing her pediatric SANE. As a SANE Training Coordinator, she provided education and training to healthcare providers, nursing students, law enforcement, and advocates on topics related to sexual assault and forensic nursing. Erin collaborated with the local rape crisis center to start a regional Sexual Assault Response Team. She is a member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and the Central Illinois Human Trafficking Task Force Healthcare Subcommittee. She volunteers as a Court Assigned Special Advocate and serves at a local shelter. She is passionate about providing the best care possible to victims of sexual assault and equipping others to do the same.
