Gail Hornor is a pediatric nurse practitioner with over 35- years -experience in forensic nursing. Gail is currently a forensic nursing specialist with IAFN supporting the practice of forensic nursing globally. Prior to joining the staff at IAFN, she worked for many years at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a provider in the child abuse program where she performed multiple roles: seeing patients in a hospital-based child advocacy center, primary care provider for children in foster care, consulting on children admitted for concerns of physical abuse, and coordinating a team of pediatric SANEs in the Emergency Department. She has authored more than thirty-five articles for peer-reviewed journals.
