Forensic Nurse Coordinator

Jo started her nursing career in the Emergency Department at PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center in 2015. In late 2017 she trained as a forensic nurse through the Harborview Medical Center training program, and began performing cases on her own in early 2018. Since October 2021 she has held the role of Forensic Nurse Coordinator, and hopes to grow the program by increasing the number of forensic nurses on the team, as well as expanding the programs parameters. Currently the team responds to sexual assaults, domestic violence/intimate partner violence patients and child abuse cases at several local hospitals. Jo completed SANE-A and SANE-P certification in 2022, and is currently working on finishing her master’s degree in Forensic Nursing. She lives in Bellingham, WA with her spouse, two children, and four dogs.
