Haley Dawson received her Masters of Science in 2022, and is currently a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the Legal Psychology program at Florida International University. Her research has primarily focused on investigative interviewing, memory, and applying forensic interviewing in non-forensic contexts. She has worked on research applying the Cognitive Interview in threat assessment interviews, as well as contact tracing interviews. She has extensive experience in interviewing and concocting interviewing research. Haley has worked on a project funded by an NSF-Rapid Response Research grant that recruited participants nationwide from ages 9-89 years old, and received funding from the Americal Psychology and Law Society, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues. She has mentored over 40 undergraduate students throughout her various projects. As a graduate student, she has co-authored several publications, including a book chapter, and had served as a primary presenter or co-author on many more presentations.
