Dr. Anne Troy has been working in Forensic Nursing for over 20 years. Her clinical practice and research have provided her the opportunity to see thousands of survivors of childhood sexual abuse and human trafficking. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has testified over 135 times in criminal and civil courts throughout the south. As an Associate Professor of Nursing, she has presented nationally and internationally on her research evaluating Adverse Childhood Experiences in nurses in Louisiana. Additionally, she completed a qualitative study with a Canadian forensic researcher, investigating the state of international preparation to prevent sexual abuse after natural disasters.
