Drawing on nearly 20 years of advocacy and public relations experience, Tim helps clients view public policy opportunities and challenges from a comprehensive perspective. Doing so informs the strategies he employs to secure policy solutions in the best interest of the client. Tim has been doing this successfully at Polsinelli for clients in the health care, energy, environmental, defense, higher education and technology sectors.
Tim's knowledge of the federal legislative and regulatory processes gives clients the edge when facing a challenging a public policy barrier. Combining thoughtful framing, clear communication, clever solutions and persistent advocacy, Tim guides clients through the policymaking process by rolling up his sleeves and working hard to achieve the outcome that advances their business interests.
In the past, Tim worked at the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry (AAGP), a national medical society representing physicians and older adults. During his tenure, Tim advocated for federal funding for health care programs serving seniors before the Appropriations Committees in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. He also managed the association’s nationwide grassroots advocacy program, working to motivate association members to communicate their concerns before Congress. Prior to AAGP, Tim was a Washington Fellow in the office of U.S. Representative Floyd Spence (South Carolina).
