Kristin Mcgrath began her nursing career in cardiac at Palos Hospital after graduating from University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana with honors in 2005. She began applying her new skills in the hospital setting developing strong organizational abilities and knowledge of protocols. From there, Kristin took a role in Palos Hospital emergency room as a staff RN which is where she found her passion. Working in the ER for the last 15 years she has become proficient in critical care, prioritization, and customer service. Numerous roles including charge RN of specific ER zones, precepting, advancement in the clinical ladder, and educating staff on new computer systems has expanded her knowledge to care for diverse populations and encourage solid teamwork. Noticing the need for increased SANE coverage in the ER, she teamed up with a co-worker and began the journey of creating Frontline Forensics. Taking the time to research and develop a strong model led to the formation of a promising company with focus to ensure every sexual assault survivor receives expert care, and each SANE has outstanding support. Her vision is to create a solution for hospitals by providing 24/7 SANE coverage.
